The sound
We make the category fit the music.
A track may arrive as an enormous cinematic landscape, a hypnotic electronic pulse, an intimate vocal, an ancient‑sounding chant, a progressive dance record, or a song built around four lines and enough silence to let them matter.
Acoustic instruments meet electronic production. Voices become texture. Rhythm can carry narrative. Silence is allowed to participate.
Across contemporary music, cinematic composition, electronic production, cultural soundscapes and the occasional impossible‑to‑classify experiment, Salty Sweet creates original music with an unmistakable point of view.
Some songs begin with a rhythm. Some with an image. Some with a question. And occasionally, with something nobody quite knows how to explain.
What connects them is not genre. It is recognition — that peculiar moment when a listener hears something for the first time and somehow feels they already know it.

The stories

These aren't subjects assembled around a marketing strategy. The catalog moves freely through love, memory, time, loss, humor, history, nature, human connection and the strange little disturbances in ordinary life that most of us notice and then forget.
We don't always explain them. Sometimes the song is the explanation.
Music + image
Salty Sweet has never treated music and image as separate rooms. Original songs frequently become films, visual narratives and short‑form pieces in which the image doesn't simply illustrate the music — it becomes another instrument.
That relationship has carried the work far beyond a conventional release model, reaching audiences through music, wildlife, cultural storytelling, memorial works and unexpected visual moments.
Sometimes people arrive because of the picture. Then they hear the song.
Truth remembered. Voice restored. Balance returned. But for you — I remain.
Salty Sweet isn't a band

The house
Salty Sweet Productions is a woman-founded, independently owned music and creative production company, built by Christine Wright and Mimi Wright.
We came up the long way: finance, rights, and the room where the song actually gets written. That combination is the point. Most houses can make a record. Fewer can make one and still account for every split, every registration, and every dollar that follows it.
We sign for range, not for a single. We are building a catalog that will still earn in twenty years — and the masters, publishing and neighboring rights stay in house unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Heritage
In 1925 our grandfather, Clarence Weston Hansell, founded RCA's Radio Transmission Laboratory at Rocky Point, Long Island, and ran it for more than thirty years. He was issued over three hundred United States patents. In his lifetime only Edison held more.
In 1926 he sketched a way to send information down strands of glass. RCA patented it the following year, and fiber optics now carries most of the world's voice and data. His lab was also the first to commercialize television — and he is the reason your sunglasses are polarized.
That laboratory built the future of communication. Three generations later, this house is building the future of music.
